CULTIVATING A LIFE OF DISCIPLINE 1

” Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize… Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible… But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection…” 1 Cor 9:24-27KJV
“… I die daily. ” 1 Cor 15:31KJV
Discipline is a word many people don’t like today however no one can successfully walk with God, accomplish his/her goals in life or develop a life of excellence or competence without it. Everyone of us could be more than we are now and do more than we are doing now if only we’ll develop the inner strength to manage our nature, tendencies and excesses.
Discipline is the strength and quality of the mind to harness its concentrations on things and lifestyles that contribute to the achievement of your goals and away from those that do not.
Discipline is acting against your own emotions physically or psychologically especially when they are not motivating you intelligently or in consistency with success principles.
Discipline is not a lifestyle for many because many just believe life is a product of what just happens to you not knowing that there are principles which when discovered and applied make the outcome of your life predictable and not just a product of fate and chance.
Discipline will not be appreciated by someone who is overtaken by selfishness and living a life of pleasure is more important than a life of lasting impact… to be continued
